There are reading programs for children in some of the countries in the world and one who created this is the University of Kansas which is also known as the KU. -> This certificate is signed by Chancellor in the University of Kansas that is being awarded to all students who fulfill their reading program in the first year.

• Silver Seal

-> This is being awarded to students who at least read the minimum requirements of 12 books.

• Gold Seal

-> This is being awarded to students who read 24 books or more.

• Jayhawk Patch

-> This is being awarded to students who have got four seals.

• Jayhawk Bookmark

-> This is being awarded to students who read the history of Kansas that is being sponsored by the Kansas State Historical Society.

• Insulated Kooler Bag

-> This is being awarded to students who read six books or more about the field of life sciences.

• The students are only eligible to receive one seal per school year.
